🦞LeagueLobster review (2026)

LeagueLobster is a strong schedule generator with a free plan. What the free plan really includes, what LITE and PRO add, how standings and export work, and who should pay for it.

Our take

  • Its scheduler is the reason to use it. Venues, time slots, travel time between venues, games per day and back-to-backs are all things it solves for.
  • The free plan is real but narrow: 50 games a month, ads on the published schedule, export turned off, and the simpler LITE scheduler.
  • PRO ($29.95 USD a month) is where most of it lives: constraints, divisions, custom standings, brackets, a website and custom domain.
  • Monthly only. There is no annual price, so a season’s cost is months × plan, plus any games over 100 in a month.

What it does well

A note on who is writing this: we make Simple Standings, which competes with it. We have not run a league on it; everything below comes from its own pricing, feature and help pages, linked at the bottom and checked on the date above.

  • Constraint scheduling. It fits a season around your venues and time slots, the travel time between each pair of venues, a cap on games per day, and limits on back-to-backs. Very few free-to-start tools try this.
  • Standings that follow the schedule. Enter a score and the table updates. On PRO you choose the columns, their order, the tiebreak order (head-to-head, score difference, percentages and more) and points for wins, draws, overtime results, shutouts and forfeits.
  • Sharing. Public schedule and standings pages open without an account, with a QR code and a short link.
  • Getting data out (paid). Export the schedule as CSV/Excel or in formats TeamSnap, SportsEngine, GameChanger, LeagueApps and SportsPress import.
  • Registration without a subscription, with team, player and free-agent forms.

What to watch for

  • Export is off on the free plan. Their help centre says ad-supported schedules cannot be exported, by API or otherwise.
  • Most of the depth is PRO. Divisions, constraints, custom standings and brackets all need the $29.95 plan; LITE keeps standings to the templates.
  • Costs move with your schedule. Billing covers the next 30 days and counts every game on the schedule, so a busy month on PRO costs more than $29.95.
  • Standings need a published schedule. Scores are entered against the games, so a league that only wants a table still builds a schedule first. Corrections are made per game, not on the table.
  • No annual discount and no native app listed; the site is built to work on phones.

Is LeagueLobster worth it?

If scheduling is your headache, yes. A season that has to fit three venues, a curfew and a travel rule is exactly what PRO is for, and it is cheaper than the hours it saves.

If what you actually need is a table everyone can check, probably not: you would be building a schedule to get standings, and paying monthly to remove ads or to export. That is the job Simple Standings does for free, or $9.99 once per league with no ads.

Who LeagueLobster is right for

  • Schedulers working around venue availability, time slots and travel.
  • Tournament directors who need brackets alongside the league.
  • Clubs taking registration fees online.
  • Organizers who feed the schedule into TeamSnap, SportsEngine or GameChanger.

If you are weighing Simple Standings instead

  • It will not build a schedule around venues or travel; it generates matchups and you add the dates.
  • No registration or payments.
  • Divisions are separate leagues, each with its own link.
  • Its public page also has ads, unless you pay $9.99 once.

No. Export is turned off on the free, ad-supported plan. On LITE or PRO, open SHARE and choose Export at the top of the share dialog.
