The case

Why Simple Standings

Most local tournaments still run on a WhatsApp photo of a fixture chart and a points table someone updates in a spreadsheet. Type your team names here and every fixture is made for you: a league where each team plays every other once (or home and away), or a knockout where later rounds read “Winner of Match 3” until the final. Dates, times and grounds stay blank for you to fill in, because you know when the ground is booked. Save it and the same link carries the points table: wins, losses, draws and points work out on their own, and the table re-sorts after every result.

  • Optional home-and-away (double round robin) fixtures
  • Knockout fixtures with byes for the top seeds, and double knockout

  • Points table with W, L, D, NR and PTS for cricket, W, D, L, GF, GA, GD and PTS for football

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How many matches will my league fixtures have?
Every team plays every other once, so n × (n-1) ÷ 2 matches: 6 for 4 teams, 28 for 8, 45 for 10. Home and away doubles it. With an odd number of teams, one team sits out each round.
Does it make a cricket points table too?
Yes. Save the fixtures and pick cricket: the league page gets a points table with W, L, D, NR, PTS and NRR. Points can be a formula, so a win, tie and no result count the way your tournament scores them. NRR is a number you enter — it needs overs faced and bowled, which a points table does not keep.
And for a football tournament?
Pick soccer instead and the table has W, D, L, goals for and against, goal difference and points. Goal difference works itself out from the goals columns.
Does it set the dates and grounds?
No. It makes the matchups; you decide when and where each match is played. Those columns come through blank so you can fill them in around your ground bookings.
Do I need an account?
Not to make fixtures or download them. You only need one to save them as a league page your players can check, and that step comes at the end.
