Does it set the dates and times for me?

No, and that is deliberate. It works out the matchups; you set when and where each game is played. It does not know your diamond bookings, your daylight, or which teams cannot play Tuesdays — so those columns come through blank for you to fill in.

How many games will a round robin be?

Every team plays every other once, so it is n × (n-1) ÷ 2 — 6 games for 4 teams, 28 for 8, 66 for 12. Tick home and away to double it. An odd number of teams means one team has a bye each round.

What happens in the later rounds of a knockout?

They are generated too, showing which game each side comes from — “Winner of Game 3 vs Winner of Game 4”. You fill in the names as results come in, exactly like a bracket on a wall.

What is the difference between single and double knockout?

In a single knockout one loss sends you home, so it is n-1 games. A double knockout gives everyone a second life through a losers bracket, which is fairer on a team that has one bad game, and takes roughly twice as many games.
