📋Standings software for league commissioners

For the commissioner or convenor who keeps the table: publish standings, a schedule and stats on one link, share the work with co-admins, and settle tiebreakers with your own formulas. Free.

The case

Why Simple Standings

A commissioner’s week is answering the same three questions: where are we in the standings, when do we play, and who is winning the tiebreaker. Simple Standings puts the answers on one public link that teams open on their phones without an account. You keep the table by typing results in, by reporting a score from the schedule row so both teams move at once, or by asking ChatGPT or Claude to do it through the connector. Bring in up to five co-admins so the job does not depend on you, write your tiebreakers as formula columns, and duplicate the league at the end of the season instead of rebuilding it. Everything is free; ads on the public page pay for it, and $9.99 once takes them off a league.

The roster

Features

  • One public link and a QR code for the standings, the schedule and player stats
  • Up to five co-admins per league, invited by email: each can edit everything, only you can delete the league
  • Report a score from its schedule row and both teams’ standings move; undo reverses exactly what was added
  • Formula columns for points, percentages and tiebreakers (for example W × 3 + D for points)
  • Custom pages for the rules, code of conduct and contacts, on the same link
  • Hide the standings while you fix something, then flip them public again
  • Duplicate a league for next season or for another division, columns and colours included
  • CSV export of every table, and a ChatGPT and Claude connector that can update the league for you

Game plan

How it works

  1. 01

    Set up the league

Pick your sport so the columns come prefilled, then type the teams in or import them from a spreadsheet.

  2. 02

    Bring in help

Invite up to five co-admins from Settings, so scores still get entered when you are away.

  3. 03

    Share one link

Post the link or the QR code once. Every update shows on it straight away.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can I share the work with other people?
Yes. From the editor’s Settings tab, invite up to five co-admins by email. A co-admin can edit everything in the league, including reporting scores and using the ChatGPT or Claude connector; only you can delete the league or change who its admins are.
How do I handle tiebreakers?
Add a computed column with a formula, such as run differential (RF − RA) or points (W × 2 + T), and sort by it. The sport presets already include the common ones, and you can add your own.
Do teams need accounts to see the standings?
No. The league link opens in any browser, with no account and no app. Print the QR code for the venue if you like.
What happens at the end of the season?
Duplicate the league to start the next season with the same columns, colours and pages, or keep the same league and clear the results so the link stays the same.
Does it do registration or collect fees?
No. Simple Standings is the standings, schedule and stats part. Link to your registration form from the league page’s custom pages or link bar.
